Wake up at dawn for your early morning game drive. As the sun begins to rise, there will be antelopes and zebras dotting the vast plains. With your camera in hand, this is yet another opportunity to capture the iconic wildlife you spot during your game drive safari. Should you be a birding enthusiast, our guide will point out the abundant birds available in the Mara including the lilac-breasted roller, the martial eagle, the kori bustard, and the black-winged stilt, among others.
With prior planning, you can instead have an early breakfast followed by a half-day game drive safari as you also try and spot the smaller wildlife available on the savannah. Return to camp for lunch and relaxation. You can opt to spend the rest of the afternoon reading your book in the comfort of your tent terrace, walk around the campgrounds or go on a short afternoon game drive before returning to camp for dinner and story sharing by the campfire.
